This morning Matt Lauer said it always bothers him when he asks someone "how are you doing?" and the person gives him a 14 minute detail of his life. Matt is SO wrong. He deserves to be roasted over a pit of fire. When you ask a person "how are you?" you are in a sense allowing them to in fact tell you how they are doing, whether it be for two seconds or twenty minutes. Why would that bother him? It shows he only wants to be associated with normal people, not people who are off the rocker somehow. If this person is giving you every little thing that's up with them it shows they don't have many friends to talk to or who ask them about what's going on, or maybe just like to talk, so you should perk up your ears like a bunny and LISTEN! If you ask someone "how are you?", the person has every right to go through the details of their life, and if you don't want to listen to all of that, you should have never asked the question. Shame on you, Matt Lauer! Normal people suck!
